课程建议审核流程:

起草并提交提案

Proposals are drafted and submitted in the online curriculum management system (ocm).

学校/学院审查

Once a proposal has been fully approved by the school or college it routes to the 教务处 (OAA) curriculum coordinator who reviews it for completeness. 的 curriculum  coordinator may email the proposer with questions or return the proposal for additional edits. 有些建议必须作为一揽子方案加以审查(例如.g., dual-level courses) and the curriculum coordinator will hold proposals at this stage until all associated proposals are ready to move forward for review by the committees of the 教师参议院.

另外, proposals route back to the OAA curriculum coordinator once they are approved by the respective committee or council. 这些建议被提交给教职员参议院指导委员会. Proposals that must be reviewed as a package will again be held at this stage until all associated proposals are able to move forward together.

Members of these committees and councils may email the proposer with questions or return proposals for additional edits.

的 教职员评议会指导委员会 meets with the committee or council chairs monthly to discuss the proposals forwarded for the upcoming Senate meeting.

教师参议院

新度, 新的证书, 新的未成年人将提交教务委员会单独审议. It is requested that a representative from the proposing unit be available during the meeting to answer questions about the new program. 

所有其他课程建议都包含在同意议程中, though Senator can request to pull an item from the consent agenda for a full discussion.

新的学位提案:事业单位董事会

Once approved by the 教师参议院 new degree proposals are presented to the Academic and 学生 Affairs Committee (ASAC) of the 事业单位 Board of Trustees. It is requested that a representative from the proposing unit give a short presentation to the ASAC and be available to answer questions.

新的学位提案:全州教务长委员会(SPC)

At the same time as the proposals are submitted to the committees of the 教师参议院, OAA will submit a summary of a new degree proposal to the SPC as part of the SPC's early notification process. At this time other universities within Oregon may reach out with questions about the proposed program.

另外, once the ASAC approves a new degree the proposal is submitted to the SPC for a full review. 在此过程中不需要演示.

西北高等院校委员会

新学位 proposals must be approved by the Higher Education Coordinating Commission (HECC) by their June meeting to begin in the fall term of that same year. If you want an active recruitment and admission cycle prior to the first year of the program it will require the program to be fully approved by the end of winter term the year before at the latest (for example, 2024年冬季结束，2024年秋季开学).

All other proposals must be approved by the 教师参议院 by their June meeting to begin in the fall term of that same year.

When figuring out when to submit a proposal it is best to consider the full review process. Prompt responses to questions posed during each review stage will help proposals move efficiently through the process.

事业单位 is required to notify the NWCCU of a change to a program name or a change to the minimum credits required to complete a program. OAA submits the notification to the NWCCU after the 教师参议院 approves the change to the name and/or minimum credits. 的 NWCCU can take up to 6 weeks to respond, and they do not review submissions in April or October. 的 change to the program may not be advertised until the NWCCU acknowledges the change.
