Campus Rec has come a long way since a new facility was proposed in 1987. Explore Campus Rec's history and milestones throughout the years─from the demolition of the former Portland Center for Advanced Technology (PCAT) building in 2007, to the grand opening of the Academic & 学生 Recreation Center (ASRC) in 2010, to our 10-year anniversary celebration in 2020.

The purpose of the Board is to advise the Department of Campus Rec on the long-term operation of the 学生 Recreation Center and the programs housed under Campus Rec. Board members will ensure department goals and objectives are aligned with the University’s 战略计划 as well as meeting the needs of Portland State students and other users of Campus Rec resources.
The 咨询委员会 typically meets monthly with additional meetings in fall term for budget preparation. The board is comprised of 事业单位 students, 教师, 工作人员, 校友, and administrators who are current Campus Rec members.

The advisory board meets once a month during fall, winter, and spring terms. During early fall term, there are usually one or two extra meetings regarding the Campus Rec budget.

Beyond the regular meetings there is time to read materials before-hand (usually 15-30 minutes per meeting) and on occasion sub-committee work. There is also onboarding for new board members.
